🏁 Checkers NEEDS HELP! She is looking for the forever home she has always deserved. 🐾❤️

2 years ago, we rescued a pregnant stray mama dog. Checkers was one of the puppies born right here in our home the same night. We lovingly fostered the family for a local "rescue" and believed all the puppies had gone on to find their happily-ever-afters.

Recently, I received a heartbreaking call. 💔

Thanks to her microchip, I learned that Checkers had never actually found a permanent home. Somehow, after all this time, the rescue that was supposed to protect her abandoned her at a kill shelter to be euthanized. I immediately brought her back to safety.

Now she's waiting for her second chance.

Checkers is 2 years old, around 50 pounds, spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready for a family of her own. She is wonderful with other dogs, loves to play, and has a sweet, gentle soul.

She's incredibly smart and very aware of her surroundings, which means she can be a little shy and cautious when facing new people or situations.
But once she feels safe, her loving personality shines through. ❤️

She doesn't need perfection. She just needs someone willing to give her a little patience and the chance to fall in love.

As an added bonus, a local Las Cruces trainer has generously offered free training sessions to help her settle into her new home and set everyone up for success.

After being lost twice, Checkers deserves a family that won't let her go a third time.

Feel free to bring your own yoga mat, meditation pillow, etc or borrow one of ours. Seating also available so you a re comfortable and relaxed to enjoy the experience.

Recommended donation $20, but nobody will be turned away. If you feel the urge to come, please do. We are happy to have you join.
