THE ART OF THE NECKTIE – TITLE OF WORK BY DESIGNER JONATHAN MEIZLER - By Charles Wong, CBP Editor for Refined Menswear and Affluent Lifestyle
I admit that I do have a great faith with the necktie lately, not only because of my purchase of a vintage tie presser and a brand new twill black bowtie, but I also attended a necktie exhibition. The Necktie has recently been playing a significant part in men’s accessories world, especially the comeback of the bowtie that appears in numerous leading menswear designer’s collection in the past few seasons, even this fall/winter, ties and bowties have not been left behind after times gone by. An interesting discovery while I stopped by one of the upscale fashion boutique days ago, I saw a beautiful and delicate beaded pattern black slim tie with impressive detailing that looks like Venetian art but modernized with some dark goth and rock glam flair. It literally feels like a piece of wearable ‘objet d’Art’ for men, and then it comes to my awareness of this amazing necktie brand – ‘title of work.’
