(SOLD) Impressive timeless vintage platinum natural untreated 3 CT sapphire & diamond halo ring.
At its center is a natural « no heat » oval blue sapphire weighing approximately 3 CT (measuring 8.87 × 7.24 × 5.41 mm).
It is accompanied by a GIA Sapphire Origin Report. This lively sapphire displays a rich, saturated medium dark blue hue, and it is the opinion of the laboratory that the gemstone shows no indications of heat treatment, a highly desirable characteristic for natural sapphires this size.
According to GIA, the stone is from a basaltic deposit. The report states that « Basalt related sapphires from different origins often have similar characteristics. In many cases it is not possible to determine their geographic origin, which may include Australia, Thailand, Nigeria and others. Any statement on geographic origin is an expert opinion based on a collection of observations and analytical data ».

Surrounding the sapphire is a double halo of baguette and round brilliant-cut diamonds, totaling approximately 1.50 carats. The diamonds are graded F-G color, VS clarity, offering exceptional brightness and contrast against the stunning blue center stone. The combination of tapered baguettes and round diamonds creates a dynamic, architectural halo that enhances the sapphire’s presence while adding dimension and brilliance.

The ring is crafted in platinum, lending both durability and a luxurious, cool-toned finish that perfectly complements the diamonds and sapphire. The shoulders feature a split shank design, adding elegance and balance while allowing the center setting to command attention.

It centers a lovely round untreated blue sapphire weighing an estimated 0.75 CT (5.58-5.63 mm). The sapphire is framed by 8 sparkling rose cut diamonds (approximately 0.25 CTTW), adding a touch of antique brilliance and delicate charm.

It is the opinion of our gemologist that the sapphire shows no indications of heat treatment.

Crafted in solid 18k rose gold with open work filigree, this piece is a true testament to French craftsmanship of the 1960s. The bold yet refined design reflects the era’s love for vibrant color paired with subtle diamond sparkle, making it a versatile jewel for both everyday wear and special occasions.
