Hei means 'to wear' in te reo Maori, the native language of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Strung on a three-plaited waxed black cord with sliding knots for adjustable length.

Beautiful bright green translucency

😍 Huai Feather Necklace and Earring Set - Nephrite Jade Carving - Kahotea Pounamu 😍

Carved in the form of the extinct Huia bird endemic to Aotearoa New Zealand own used in Maori adornments. This set was hand-carved by artist Joe Foster from sacred Kahotea Pounamu - a cultural name in te reo Maori language for a gorgeous green nephrite jade from te waipounamu - the name of the south island of New Zealand.

The chain is an adjustable 14ingh to 24 inch 1.3mm 0.925 sterling silver as are the findings.

Dimensions: Pendant 1.6cm x 5.8cm x 2mm thick

This gorgeous stone has my creativity flying. I'm so glad I found this Siberian Nephrite Jade from the Sayan mountains as it has been wonderful to play with and the colour tones in it are so clear and yet earthy.

What a wonderful weekend at Mohegan Sun Earth Expo Center with the NE Craft Festivals Spring Show ( ) where I enjoyed meeting so many wonderful people, many took home one of my Jade and Organic Gemstone carvings.
