In 2027, Kirk & Company Jewelers will be moving to a new home in Madeira, at 7021 Miami Avenue.

The same team will be at the bench. The same hands setting your stones, polishing your rings, and having the honest conversations we've always had. None of that travels separately from us.

Milford gave Kirk & Co its character, and we don't take that for granted. We will be here through 2026, and we are only going a few miles up the road.

If you could only prioritize one, which matters more: carat weight or cut quality?

Our honest answer: cut, every time.

Here is why.

Carat is simply weight. It tells you how large a diamond is on paper. Cut is what determines how that diamond interacts with light. A poorly cut 2 carat diamond will look dull and flat. A beautifully cut 1 carat diamond will stop people in their tracks.
The sparkle you fall in love with in a jewelry case? That is cut doing its job.

Our recommendation: start with an excellent or ideal cut grade, then work your way up in carat within your budget. You will always be happier with a smaller diamond that dazzles than a larger one that sits flat.
