I seriously get so happy!

Reviews are so important to a small business. But I’m guilty of not leaving them either.

As a nurse one thing I learned was most people don’t leave reviews unless they’ve had a bad experience. But the good ones, the good experiences, the happy customer interactions are what bring people to my studio. Word of mouth is amazing but for anyone who googles ‘tattoos and piercings near me’ seeing your review could make the difference of helping them choose Eden’s Pieces and more importantly choosing me personally.

The Grand Opening of the new Kellie Rochelle Photography Studio!!!

Kellie has been taking our family photos for years and years now even capturing the birth of 2 of my babies

She is opening her brand new studio in Elida and it is so cute and cozy. She does a great job, professional, and fun. She also is a finalist and/or winner of best photography studio in the Lima Best of the Region since 2022

A day in the life of Eden’s Pieces as a 41yo self owned tattoo and piercing studio and mom of 4 under 10

From start to finish it’s usually go go go

The first hour getting the kids ready feels like 20 hours but we’ve got a system down now.

Then studio work varies depending on appointments for the day but always includes administrative work and family balance too.

Sprinkled in is trying to eat, hydrate, use the bathroom at some point, getting the kids off the bus and home from the sitter, laundry, dishes, errands, and taking Millie out then back to work to finish appointments and close up shop and maybe a little self care before crashing out

It’s nice having the studio at home but it means I have trouble separating home and family duties from work duties and it’s a constant ping pong but I wouldn’t have it any other way

👂🏼Kids ear piercings are something I’d like to be known for. Having a clean, safe, welcoming environment for a kids piercing, especially a first is very important to me

👧🏼Eden’s Pieces kids have a full experience here! 📜a bravery certificate, 🎈a confetti balloon, 🪙Quarters for the candy/trinket machine, 🪎a gift from the treasure chest, and first ear piercings get to ring the first timers bell and join an elite club 🔔 I also offer a princess package that comes with treatment for a queen (wand, crown, tutu, play jewelry, travel jewelry box with choice of chenille patch, upgraded jewelry, and aftercare spray)👑
I also always have snacks, juice, and popsicles available with parents approval plus Disney, Netflix, & Prime for a good show or movie for distraction

🔫I get the appeal of a piercing gun. It’s super quick and can usually be done in tandem. However a piercing gun was never meant to pierce ears. It uses the jewelry to crush tissue under pressure instead of a needle which is meant to pierce cleanly through skin.
•causes blunt trauma by tearing the skin instead of a clean incision
•cannot be fully sterilized due to being made by plastic and can’t be autoclaved
•usually operated with minimal training
•can shatter and cause scar tissue to cartilage
•usually made with low grade jewelry and backs that can trap bacteria and leave little room for swelling during healing
•difficult to get correct angles and control leading to crooked, uneven piercings

🪪Eden’s Pieces is licensed by the Putnam County Health Department, I hold a blood-born pathogen and CPR/first aid certificate, as well as over 14 years of nursing experience, mostly in critical care. Sterility, good quality jewelry, and calm relaxing fun environment is the ultimate goal!

My daughter Brielle, who I have pierced twice gives me an A++ so that’s the best review and endorsement I can give 😉

Eden’s Pieces Studio has offically been open just shy of 7 months now

This tattoo shows what hard work, practice, dedication, and never giving up on myself can do

I have SOOO much to learn and FAR from where I want to be but thank you to every single person who has chosen me, trusted me, cheered me on, or even silently watched in waiting

Can’t wait to see what I can learn and how I could grow in another 7 months

🤞🏼It’s always a little trust the process moment so don’t stress too much early on

🏎️I’ll never be the fastest tattoo artist and I’m okay with that. When I was learning I went way too fast which ended up going too deep and so much inconsistency.

🪶Now I do a very light first pass to get the basic outline and detail in case my stencil starts to fade

👷🏻‍♀️Then I continue to build layers and shading with 2-3 more passes to achieve the final look.

➕This way I can always add more when needed but I can never take the ink back.

🗞️The good news is I never charge by time, I take my time because it’s what works best for me for the final result…the con for you is you might have to hang out with me a bit longer but I try to make that bearable 😝😉

Not only was yesterday to help support friends it was The peach loft celebration for being open 1 year! My friend Chelsey Cook and the rest of the team have done so amazing with bringing such a much needed business to Elida!
