It’s coming together! Sorry for going dark after the holidays, it’s been a huge project getting organized, prepping the new space and starting to move things over.
This, combined with the chaos in our government and the travesty of behavior that is 🧊, I’ve really had to take a break from social media. Get my head together and settle my thoughts.
Now, as the organization has brought clarity, and the new space is making room for fresh plans, I can finally reconnect with you all and start sharing what’s next.
Please give me grace as things shift and settle, as I’ll need to go through the awkwardness that is natural when making a big change. I plan to go forward in this new space and into the new year with more focus and clarity.
This means editing my product lines, having to start saying no to projects that are too far outside the sphere of my artistic vision, and being courageous in speaking up for my beliefs- by that I mean speaking up for human rights and the kind of world I actually want to live in.
No, I don’t want to debate political points, but instead I want to rediscover the foundation of what we do agree on. Like human compassion. Community. Kindness.
Right now living those things feels like an act of resistance. Let’s work together to fix that. Let’s tear down that which seeks to keep us small and infighting and instead build something that helps us grow and thrive.
My art will continue to honor nature and the inherent beauty of stones, but going forward it will also be more of a statement to what I aspire to for all of us.
Let’s be loving neighbors and look out for each other. We deserve better than what we’ve got right now.
