A lovely Friday evening at hunt_gathermarket last night. A few highlights:
» seeing sweet vendor friends
» visits from my regulars and some I haven’t seen in years
» getting my custom skirt from the talented Lil Bits (I’ll be wearing today) - these are the wrap skirts I wear at every market and get so many compliments on… SHE WILL BE AT THE MARKET TODAY PEOPLE!! 😉
» meeting some new vendors like REMRKABLE…her lip balms are yummy and I’m excited to try her shampoo!
» watching all the feathers flying out, especially all the love for the new rust + turquoise collection
» and last but not least, the highlight of my night - meeting Sylvia Jimenez who came into my booth for the first time and took off her beautiful earrings she hadn’t removed in 30 years just so she cld purchase and wear a pair of my feathers 🥰🥰🥰🥰

🍿 POPCORN FEST is tomorrow! I’m bringing a lil bit of everything and a lot of feathers, including a brand new batch of minis (swipe for a video shot) 🪶🪶🪶 …I’m also doing something a little different for this show. I’ve made tons of tiny, dainty, festive diffuser bead earrings. The versions I’ve made over the past few months have sold pretty well, considering some of you prefer a more dainty accessory. I’ve got you covered. From classic to cutesy. From Fall-ish to spooky. And of course, some western themed dainties…Swipe to see some of the newbies. As always, I’m dishin out free samples of essential oil with every item purchased. The oil can be applied to the natural wood charm or bead for ALL. THE. GOOD. SMELLS!

Well, it’s been another wonderful weekend spent in and around Holland, Michigan & The Found Cottage Mercantile market and it never fails to fill my cup. 🩵 Arriving at the market earlier than my usual on Saturday, it was difficult to get many good shots of all my fave displays among the crowds. It was also more difficult to chat with all my fave vendors bc they were so busy and I didn’t get to swing back around to all before we left. But I’m thankful for the few that gave me a moment of their time including MerriJo Refashioned Wearable Art Dandylion Finds Black Barn Vintage The COTTON SHED®️™️ Jess Veley || Antique, Vintage & Farmhouse Finds in West MI Curate | Tracey as well as two brand new vendors to the market Breck Armstrong and Erin … the latter of which being the only vendor to get my money since my budget this year was incredibly tight. A bit disappointing bc I literally wanted to buy almost everything!! But the item I purchased was so worth it and will be making its way into my displays soon. Swipe for a glimpse of it in the video toward the end with my “porter” carrying it as we were leaving 😆 That was around 2:30 and the crowds were still insane!

I was also pleasantly surprised and a little star struck when I spotted the lovelies Liz Marie - Cozy Cottage Style and Abigail Albers in a booth and had the privilege to thank Abby in person for their incredible vision and dedication to creating such a gathering of talent and beauty. I’m always in awe and forever inspired as a maker, merchandiser, and lover of all the old, rustic things with stories to tell. While I absolutely adore being a shopper, next year may be the year I finally apply to be a vendor. Maybe. Possibly. We’ll see! 🤔

But a BIG HUGE GIANT THANK YOU to all vendors who come from near & far. Who spend days driving, more days setting up, often in the heat (and rain this time 😣), to come together, building magic and whimsy and beauty to share with all of us. I hope you each left with a cup just as overflowing with joy & abundance. You’re so so appreciated.

I didn’t think I’d be here again this year, but since I have a free wknd and lots of product, I’m back at La Porte Farmed & Forged Market this Sunday. And I’ll have my special F&F pricing, of course. Drove 5 hrs to Ohio yesterday along Indiana backroads in the fog and flooding with branches strapped to my roof to set up for ＣＨＡＲＭ ＡＴ ＴＨＥ ＦＡＲＭ …the haze was magical and the kayaker in the flooded field was comical. (Many of you saw the video in my story but didn’t watch till the end, so I reposted here 🛶)

Arrived at the farm with Deja vu. Another 90 degree sweltering day like last year. Took me almost 6 hrs to unload and configure a setup I was happy with after forgetting a significant earring display. Here’s a shot of the one corner I actually finished. Lots of fall feels. (Follow along in my stories for more glimpses of setup and product today…. I made A LOT for this market) I’ll be back at it this afternoon and ready for VIP night 4-8pm! I’m offering a $5 off $50 or more for all my special shoppers tonight. Praying for dry & calm skies. But bring your rainboots and 🌂 just in case! ☀️
