Alix Boudrot has always had a love for the arts. From the time she was young her hands have been occupied by paint, clay, cameras, and all the various types of art media. She collected unique jewelry but did not consider jewelry design as a main medium until her college education. She took her first jewelry class at Montclair State University and immediatly fell in love with the physically demandi
ng materials and endless possibilities of turning her ideas into wearable sculpture. Alix was brought up with a love of animals, music, and nature enabling her to draw inspiration from all she sees, feels & hears around her in her everyday life. Another area of her inspiration includes her facination with human behavior, taking ideas from the nervous or anxious habits people employ inorder to sooth themselves. She also enjoys the kinetic aspect of jewelry and the act of play, allowing her jewelry to have movement or sound stimulated by the act of fiddling. All items are unique and handmade with love and attention to every detail.
