BMR Suspension is proud to announce the acquisition of Hotchkis Sport Suspension, bringing another highly respected name in performance suspension into our growing family of brands.

For more than three decades, Hotchkis has helped redefine what enthusiasts expect from American muscle, building a reputation for premium performance suspension products, innovative design, and a genuine passion for making cars handle.

As BMR Suspension President Allan Miller shared, bringing Hotchkis together with BMR Suspension and Heidts Suspension creates a “unique synergy among three highly respected performance suspension brands” while building a stronger platform centered on premium products and American manufacturing.

For John Hotchkis, this announcement represents the next chapter of a journey that began with what he calls the “crazy idea more than three decades ago that muscle cars should actually handle.” That idea grew into a respected performance brand, a passionate community, countless track days and autocross events, and decades of memories throughout the automotive aftermarket.

John reflected that Hotchkis helped “change what people expected from American muscle” and expressed his gratitude to the employees, customers, dealers, suppliers, friends, and enthusiasts who helped make that vision possible.

Looking toward the future, John also shared his excitement to see Allan Miller and his son, Allan Miller III, build on the Hotchkis legacy and take the brand to even greater heights. That trust carries significant meaning as BMR takes responsibility for the next chapter of a brand with more than three decades of history behind it.

The addition of Hotchkis to the BMR family further strengthens a growing portfolio of performance brands that also includes Alston Racing, Carlyle Racing, Chassis Engineering Inc., and Control Freak Suspension.

We are proud to welcome Hotchkis Sport Suspension to the family and honored to help carry its legacy forward.

🏁 Flashback Friday: Jay Leno’s 1966 Ford Galaxie 7-Litre 🏁

Jay Leno’s heavily modified Galaxie is a tribute to the car he drove during his youth—and the story begins with a little teenage creativity.

Jay convinced his father to order a fully loaded 1966 Galaxie with a massive 428-cubic-inch V8, heavy-duty police-pursuit brakes and suspension, and even the muffler-delete option. After driving it, his father reportedly stepped out and called it a “damn rocket ship.”

Years later, Jay built the ultimate tribute to recapture that same excitement:

🔥 Massive Ford V8 engine
🔥 Wilwood disc brakes
🔥 Custom Hotchkis Stage 2 TVS suspension
🔥 Upgraded front and rear sway bars
🔥 Sport coil springs and tuned shocks

The goal was ambitious: make this full-size 1966 cruiser handle more like a modern performance car. The custom suspension worked so well that Hotchkis later adapted the setup into a production TVS system for other enthusiasts.
