Some pendants for the Madison Bead Show this weekend: the result of a few days' worth of soft soldering.

I cut some of the stones myself and the rest have been collected from various gem shows over the years. 😊

I ended up getting into this show last-minute and I've been hustling to get my act together ever since 😅.

In-person shows make me super nervous. I enjoy meeting like-minded people (the spiritual folk always find me and make the time fly by), but I've learned I can't plan anything for a week afterwards because my introverted brain needs a LOT of downtime after all that stimulation. 🤣

Still, I'm pretty darn excited to be surrounded by "my people." If you're in the Madison/Sun Prairie area this coming weekend, stop by and say hi! 😄

The Madison Art Glass and Bead Show runs Saturday and Sunday, March 2nd + 3rd at the Sun Prairie Hilton Garden Inn. ♥️

Okay I did the thing! 🙈 I put this treasure trove of a mala up in my Etsy shop (which was SUPER hard cuz I don't want to let her GO! 😅).

There are so many incredible stones in this beauty. AAA-grade sunstone and labradorite, a hand-carved 9-tailed fox pendant, Czech and Bohemian glass, trade beads, hematite, turquoise, rhodolite, rainbow ammonite, freshwater pearl and strawberry quartz, oh my!

Hello you lovely hoomans! I know I've been seriously absent lately, and I'm truly sorry. 🥹

I've had a lot going on with family lately and have been trying to juggle a bit more than I'm used to from across the country (I'm the kid that moved away 😅).

Please know that I DO intend to come back -- I promise! 😂

You've all been so understanding and lovely in DMs (I'm slowly working through those too, when I have the bandwidth).

I've made orders a priority and still try to get them out the same or next day, but I have to pause the shop for just a bit.

Thank you so much for understanding and continuing to be THE BEST DANG community on Instagram!

You may feel anxiety – even desperation – an internal gnawing to offer your precious, one-of-a-kind handmade pieces at half price. Please… DON’T! You deserve to be paid a fair price for the work you’ve put into your jewelry!⁠ 🤗

I want you to know this is absolutely normal for this time of year. Retail ebbs and people get out of the house to squeeze every last drop out of summer. No one’s on their phones – they’re at the beach! ⁠🌊🏖️🩴👙🌊

Instead, think of this as the time to come up with exciting new ideas for the buying season (it’ll be here sooner than you think!).⁠

Think about your holiday strategy:⁠

✨ Do you have small items that you can sell in packs of 4, 6 or 10? Bundling small items to sell as stocking stuffers makes it easier for customers when it comes to gift-buying, and it puts more money in your pocket too!⁠

✨ Will you offer an exclusive product for the holiday season? Maybe it’s a New Year’s Resolution bracelet, or a small gift-with-purchase that’s only available with orders made in November.⁠

✨ How about an early-bird discount? Maybe you can sell an exclusive bundle of your bestsellers that buyers could save 10% on… or maybe if they order within a small time window (ie: the two weeks before Black Friday), you’ll include a $30 gift card on future purchases (to give or keep for themselves). ⁠

✨ Maybe there's some special holiday packaging or gift-wrapping to make your products extra meet and bright!

There are so many ways you can prepare to make this your best year yet AND make customers feel extra appreciated. And now’s the time to start thinking about it!⁠ 💡

Does anyone else feel like this is the year for something BIG? Something you've been daydreaming about for quite a while, but maybe you're just too scared to jump into?⁠

Yeah. That's kind of where I'm at. The Equinox hit me like a ton of bricks. It feels like I'm at the top of that first giant hill on the rollercoaster, and I am looking down and BABY, IT'S GONNA BE EPIC.⁠

The hardest part is getting all these projects broken down into smaller, digestible parts so I don't end up chewed up and spit out by my own energy patterns. ⁠

And let's face it: Sometimes all I wanna do is play with beads. 🤷‍♀️⁠

So in the face of self-doubt, the OCD, the ADHD and the sheer panic that I might fail SUPER hard, here I am. Dipping my feet into wholesale. 🤣⁠

Yup. I made my first line sheet (I think it's alright). I'm trying to make my website prettier (not my forte 😅). Working on truly eco-friendly, home-biodegradable packaging. And the next step? Hm... I guess it's time to start pitchin' woo to potential retailers (HAAALLLLP!). 😁⁠

Because I've got an even BIGGER project on the horizon, and I think it's about time I started trying to make that happen. Big ideas need big space, big funds and big thinking...⁠
