Crabby Mermaid® was born from a lifelong love of the ocean. I'm Diane, a Florida native who grew up on Anna Maria Island, where the beach became part of who I am. From boating and kayaking to diving, shelling and exploring coastlines near and far, I've always believed there's something about salt water that stays with you long after you leave it. That connection inspired me to create Crabby Mermaid® in 2021 — a coastal jewelry brand for people who feel that same pull toward the water. Today, I personally curate pieces that capture the beauty and spirit of coastal life, from Larimar and sterling silver to ocean-inspired designs and eco-friendly cork jewelry. Some pieces remind us of a favorite beach or vacation, some become meaningful gifts, and others simply let us carry a little piece of the ocean with us every day.
