I am a Certifying Senior Instructor in metal clay. What's metal clay? Well, if you're not familiar with Metal Clay, it is a moldable clay material that consists of small particles of silver, copper, or base metals (bronze, steel, etc) held together in an organic
binder. Using metal clay, you form, stamp, or carve your jewelry, dry it completely, file and bring out details in your work, and then fire the piece in the kiln, or with a torch. The organic binder burns off, and you then have pure metal. It is then burnished and/or tumbled to bring out the silver to a shine. All the pieces that are made with silver metal clay and are 99.9% pure silver once fired. Call or email for more information and class availability.
