Happy Friday!! I have not taken a breath, or caught up ...but the Friday Features must go on!! I often think of putting a "pause" on the Friday Features when i get overwhelmed with them ...but its so much now a part of the life of Soul & Story ...that it even feels weird now if i'm a little bit late on Friday mornings. i like to post around 10 am central time ...and fans let me know if I'm late. I often will get a text "Did I miss the Friday Feature this morning." I often find ...even if people don't necessarily order, they love seeing them, seeing what I've written, and enjoying reading about the curated pieces.

The pieces I chose for today come straight from the last italy trip ...and a perfect little companion for summer! I'm pretty tight on the stock on these, so they will probably sell out ...but I just love them, and I think you guys will too. Each one is a little Venetian work of art. The Venetian Glass Guild / Society is very tightly guarded ...and so far, only one outsider has been granted access ...our very own outstanding American glass artists Dale Chihuly. You may have seen his work at The Bellagio in Vegas, all over Seattle (his home), and currently several sculptural pieces currently installed in the Venetian Lagoon as we speak.

Needless to say, Venetian Glass is a beautifully respected and guarded art ...and each piece of authentic Venetian Glass is 100% handcrafted and meticulously made. I wanted an affordable representation and way to celebrate this fabulous art ...so I chose these beautiful heart earrings ...in a few colors to choose from. These can be worn as compliments to other pieces ...and even in second holes to highlight a statement set. Any way you style these ...they will work. Happy Friday!! I'm back in Nashville ...for at least the next two months. Wheew!! Summer in Nashville is well ...hot! (and technically I don't even think we are in summer yet). That said ...I'm envisioning sundresses & mai-tai's. And even though I don't have a summer vacation planned, it might be mai-tai's on my deck. If you DO have summer vacay plans ahead, these are a great pair of earrings to take with you. Pair them with ANYthing ...you'll see ...they are the "white jeans" of the jewelry world! From Turquoise like we had last week, to the Australian opals the week before ...these will absolutely coordinate. A perfect neutral and summer bronze, these will pull double and triple duty from day to night and beach to dinner.

Happy Friday !! A great simple layering necklace is a perfect summer staple. I have been in Italy for almost three weeks, and loving my layering pieces I can wear with just about anything. Often in summer we want light, airy ...and jewelry that doesn't weigh us down or create extra heat. I love light layering pieces for this exact reason.

These beautiful Raw Australian Opals are a perfect light summer layer, plus the earthy feel of the opals are perfect for an easy, breezy summer wardrobe. A little bit lavender, a little bit taupe, a little bit pink ...these check alot of boxes for a great complimentary piece. And even though the clasp doesn't show, I do let you choose your metal color because I know everyone has preferences and this is a piece that can accommodate either.

Opals are a little different than a traditional "crystaline" gemstone ...and are called "amorphous." While not considered a lightweight stone, they are indeed lighter than their crystaline, more structured counterparts. Happy Friday !! As fish seem to continue to be all the rage, you know I had to have a summer Friday Feature showcasing the little reticulated feeesh everyone seems to be obsessed with. While I LOVE the vintage ones ...and have had a few in the past for trunk shows), I had to source a larger number if I wanted to have them as a Friday Feature.

I also wanted to have multiple options for you guys, layering, charm possibilities and versatility along with the cute little fish!! I decided on these fab African trade beads, as they are so fun to layer for summer, plus a great mid-length layer for pretty much any other charm you want to try out.

The clasp itself is a push through clasp (almost like a little carabiner) where you can attach the necklace itself ...and also the fish ...and extra charms if you so choose. *Please refer to the video for an explanation!! Its tricky to figure out, but so easy and versatile once you have it!! Have fun with this one ...lots of endless options!! Enjoy.

This is the third iteration of these beauties in a different colorway, and they continue to be such a popular design. Lightweight, and yet just enough of a statement, these have become a fan favorite, and while they are very labor intensive, I do love the end results!!

Its always fun to choose color combinations, but when I saw these gorgeous Red Onyx, I felt like they chose the Turquoise accent color themselves! Great for summer, but equally beautiful through the winter to incorporate pops of color, these are sure to become your easy go-to year-round favorites. Enjoy!!

Orange is a very hot color right now ...I see it everywhere ...and while I'm a little picky about my orange being a Tennessee Vol, you can't beat a true, deep orange for summer. Pair that orange with a beautiful complimentary deep green Turquoise and that's a winning combo!

From an artist I work with in Istanbul, these came as a set, but I'm actually splitting them up as I think they are both great as a set, but also equally great as a statement on their own. Happy Friday !! So my friend Barbara calls this style her "Hermione's Bag" ...as it can just magically hold everything. And while Hermione's bag is actually itty-bitty, these are quite spacious, but without the weight, as they are canvas with very little extra hardware. I did the same style, in some different fabrics last summer for a Friday Feature, and they all sold out. But I always have new people to Soul & Story, so I like to do a few repeats ...as long as they are also different. A saying I love from Southeast Asia ...'Same same, but different!!" ...yeah, that is a great motto when you have Friday Feature favorites that come back around in a different way. A slightly heavier canvas than the previous iteration, this fabric ...you can almost abuse... as Its incredibly durable. Plus, these colors are totally FAB!!

Happy Friday !! I always like having a set of earrings that are appropriate for the season that I'm in ...and I can throw on every day without having to think too much!! I'm heading to Alexandria this weekend, and it will be a very quick trip up and back, and I want to pack really light. I grabbed these for myself to be my every day ....as they will go with whatever necklace or bracelet stack I layer in. I knew that I had them saved out for a Friday Feature, so I decided to go ahead with those today!! Creatures in jewelry & accessories are a bit of an east coast thing actually ...palmettos, bees, dragonflies, cicadas ...even lobstahs!! So this Friday is perfect for these adorable leetle bees.
