Earlier this summer, we asked you to share your love stories with us, and you delivered! This next one involves a surprise proposal on a cold February day, and a very special ring!

Meet Dylan and Mari.

Dylan told Mari they were helping a friend who was starting a photography business by participating in a photo shoot. Little did she know, Dylan had something much bigger planned…

On one of the coldest days in February, he surprised her with a proposal and a ring he had worked with Steve to design just for her. 💍

“Dylan told me that he went to Steve to design what he thought I’d want. I gave him no details and it was perfect. It was even more special that he put thought into designing it.”

The couple tied the knot on March 6, 2026, at Dibbles Inn! ❤️

And can we talk about those sneaker photos? 👟 We love seeing couples incorporate their personalities into their wedding day!

Love story #4 💍💙

Earlier this summer, we asked you to share your love stories with us, and you delivered. This one might be a tearjerker. Grab your tissues. 🥹

“Nate had asked my parents while we were camping. They were thrilled and said, ‘Absolutely. It’s on your own time.’

The end of the summer, Labor Day weekend, we went to Boldt Castle in the Thousand Islands, a place that was my grandparents’ favorite (and the diamond was my grandmother’s). But we had always talked about going, so I thought nothing of it, and we went with his parents and twin brother.

We got off the boat, walked around for about 20 minutes, then went to a lookout. Nate wanted a picture of us, and I of course said yes. He then wanted me to turn around and pretend I owned the castle. I told him it was a silly idea, but did it anyway.

When he said I was good and they got the picture, he was on one knee. His brother was filming, and his parents were taking pictures. I started immediately crying. He said, ‘Will you marry me?’ And I said of course as he put my grandmother’s ring on my finger at her favorite place.”

And her first reaction to the ring? “Simply stunning. My grandmother’s diamond and a little extra sparkle, so I can always honor her and my grandfather’s love story into my own.”

Story No. 3: Tressa & Ryan. 💍💙

Earlier this summer, we asked you to share your love stories with us, and you delivered.

We loved reading each one, and we’re continuing to share the special stories behind the couples and their jewelry.

In her own words, Tressa said,
“Seeing my engagement ring for the very first time was a special moment that I’ll never forget. It was even more beautiful than I had imagined, not only because of the incredible sparkle, but because it represented a beautiful glimpse into the bright future we will build together.

Every detail was perfect: a three-carat oval center diamond, complemented by two oval side stones and a diamond channel band. But what makes this ring even more meaningful is the love and thought behind it. My fiancé worked with Theresa Lennon to custom design a ring that perfectly captured my style, making this one of the most unforgettable and cherished moments of my life.

I couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect symbol of our forever.”

Love Story No. 2 💙

Earlier this summer, we asked you to share your love stories with us, and you delivered. We loved this submission so much, we featured it in our latest Mohawk Valley Living ad!

Here is their story, in her own words:

“Zach and I are both from this area. We attended the same undergrad even, Le Moyne, and graduated the same year. However, we met by chance while I was living and working in Nashville and he was there for a bachelor party. His friends introduced us after we discovered we had so many things in common.

A few weeks later, I flew home to New York for my dad’s retirement party, and Zach took me out on a date. The rest is history!

After nine months of Zach flying down to see me, thanks to Allegiant’s direct Syracuse-to-Nashville flights, I ultimately moved back to CNY and purchased a home in the Village of New Hartford.

We would often go for walks in the village, and when Zach mentioned to me one day that he would like to get an idea of what I might like for an engagement ring, I immediately knew we should take the short walk to the local village jewelry store.

From there, we would find little moments to walk down to Steve Lennon’s so I could try on rings and get an idea of what I liked. This was no small feat, as I’m very indecisive, but the staff was so patient and kind in helping me find what I liked and then helping Zach curate it.

When the time came to start looking for wedding bands, the decision was easy. We once again went back to Steve’s and were able to enjoy the beautiful and timeless selection of rings.

We were married this past weekend at St. Peter’s Cathedral in Rome. Our reception was at Tailwater Lodge in Altmar. The day was perfect in every way, and we had the best day.

We are so thankful for the role Steve Lennon’s played in our journey. We are so lucky not only to have a jeweler in the village, but to have a jeweler with impeccable taste, both in the selection of rings and the staff who help curate the experience.”
