The 2nd Annual Dazzling Diamonds for Mom Contest has officially wrapped up, and what an incredible experience it was! 💎🤍
Students from Holland Patent and Whitesboro elementary schools put their hearts on paper, sharing why their mom, grandmother, aunt, caregiver, or other special person deserved a genuine diamond 💎 We laughed, we cried, and we were reminded that sometimes the sweetest perspectives come from the smallest voices 🥹🫶🏼
This year, we were thrilled to award six genuine diamonds to some truly deserving families. And because teachers help nurture those kind hearts and thoughtful minds every day, the teachers of each winning student also received a diamond of their own 💎🍎
As an added celebration, one student in every participating classroom received a genuine gemstone, meaning dozens of young writers went home with a sparkling reminder that their words matter 🤩✨
We went in person to surprise the winners at Harts Hill Elementary, where we were greeted with a special “Team Kassidy” shoutout from the students and staff 🥹🧡 It made the day even more meaningful that Kassidy’s friend Jane was selected as the 4th grade diamond winner. Moments like that are a reminder of just how special this community is 🫶🏼
Thank you to every student who shared their stories. While we truly believe every mom deserves a diamond, this contest is really about something even more valuable: teaching gratitude, celebrating kindness, and encouraging children to recognize the people who help them shine ✨
