HAPPY PRIDE Y’ALL! I created this talisman in honor of Edna St Vincent Millay, one of my favorite poets. She lived life on her own terms and was unapologetic in her beliefs and lifestyle choices, One of my favorite quotes of hers is below, apparently her response to a psychiatrist at a dinner party who pressed her about her sexuality : “Oh, you mean I’m homosexual! Do you think AI is bad for humanity? I know this is a topic most don’t care about, but I’ve had so many friends lose their jobs because shad of AI recently…that’s it’s worth the conversation. I realize its being used in so many businesses and apps that we use daily, so it feels impossible to avoid entirely. But if you’re like me and already a conscious shopper, maybe it’s something we should all be thinking about. Cause as far as I know, we’ve only got this one planet.

As someone who’s made mostly jewelry for the last 16 years, it was a little nerve-racking to put my art out in the public. I am super happy and grateful that my mixed media pieces have found new homes - and it’s given me the courage and motivation to keep making art. So thank you to all the customers and visitors that I’ve gotten to hang out with this week. It’s been lots of fun and inspiring. I’m working on a few new pieces, and of course I’ll have lots of ReStrung Jewelry at every night this week, so stop by and say hi if you’re in town.
