Kanye got involved in the A$AP Rocky case at the highest level, reaching out to Donald Trump while Rocky was being held in Sweden in 2019

Rocky had been detained in Stockholm after a street altercation, and Ye later recalled Trump getting back to him after their conversation. He even told Rocky that he was prepared to go to Sweden with Kim to help get him home, although Rocky reportedly told him not to come

Trump then publicly took up the case, contacting Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven and offering to personally vouch for Rocky’s release, despite Sweden not having a U.S.-style bail system

When Rocky was released from custody on August 2 while awaiting the verdict, Trump celebrated on Twitter, writing, “It was a Rocky Week, get home ASAP A$AP!”

Rocky was eventually found guilty but received a suspended sentence, so he didn’t have to serve any additional jail time. He later said Trump’s involvement may actually have made things more difficult, claiming Swedish authorities were essentially determined to keep him longer because of the pressure coming from Trump

Few entertainers have successfully dominated music, television and film on the same level as Will Smith, whose career began in West Philadelphia as one half of the rap duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. Raised on Chicago’s South Side, Chief Keef, born Keith Farrelle Cozart, began recording music as a teenager and became a major figure in the rise of Chicago drill. His 2012 breakout hit “I Don’t Like”, followed by “Love Sosa,” turned him from a local teenage rapper into a national star and helped bring drill to mainstream audiences. Kanye West later remixed “I Don’t Like” with Pusha T, Big Sean and Jadakiss, further expanding Keef’s reach

At 17, he released his debut album Finally Rich through Interscope Records in December 2012, featuring artists including 50 Cent, Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross and Young Jeezy, with much of the production coming from Young Chop. Although his time with Interscope ended after roughly two years, Keef continued releasing music independently through his own Glo Gang label and became known for a prolific run of mixtapes and albums

In September 2022, Lil U*i Vert tried cooking for his girlfriend JT, the City Girls rapper he had been dating for several years

JT shared a photo of U*i standing completely unfazed in the kitchen as a frying pan was engulfed in flames, joking that her boyfriend loved to “rig up a meal” for her but had nearly burned their place down without even flinching. She later said U*i simply watched the flames go out while keeping the same expression

The incident was part of a cooking game U*i and JT played together, where U*i would come up with a meal on the spot and JT would try whatever he made. U*i later explained that the flames in the viral photo were caused by using a lot of olive oil, giving fans some context behind the chaotic cooking attempt
