Rutheny Jewelry Jennifer Rutheny uses the ancient art of lost wax casting. Each piece begins as a hand-carved wax sculpture, before being cast in precious metal.

Her process is a blend of artistry and precision, as she attempts to bring nature’s elegance into her work. Rutheny Jewelry has three boutique locations:

Every feather is hand-carved in wax by Jennifer Rutheny in her Hudson Valley workshop, rendered with precision and surface detail that sets this piece apart from anything else on the market.

Placing my maker’s mark into the meerkat model before it goes to mold.

The rectangle is carved by hand with a dremel and tiny burs.

The tag — a handmade 2×4mm sterling silver piece stamped “Rutheny 925” — sits recessed into the back, protected and permanent, never at risk of wearing off. It will be a part of every casting that comes from this mold. Forever. 🐾⚒️
