I spent yesterday trying to photograph these two newbies and feel like I somehow came up a bit short. Two very special stones – a vintage diamond and a new gray-ish lavender spinel. I’ll work more on it today, especially the spinel. Maybe with a video I could better capture its beauty– – ‘cause she’s a doozy!!

Always thinking about the Ocean. I grew up in Oregon and spends a lot of of time at the Oregon Coast—long walks looking for shells mostly as it’s too cold to swim in.

I love all the gifts from the ocean— here a natural abalone pearl putting on fireworks 🎇.
