Island Jewel is our love letter to two homes: Puerto Rico and New York.
Puerto Rico is where our story began, long before Reade Street; the place our parents carried with them as they built this business, and one we continue to carry with us today.
This year, as communities across the island face ongoing water shortages and rationing, we wanted our 50th anniversary to be about more than looking back. We wanted it to be an opportunity to pay it forward.
Island Jewel brings both homes together through scent: ají dulce and hibiscus for Puerto Rico, sea salt and green moss for Manhattan, with amber connecting the two.
And because the details matter to us, the candle was made with the same care. Each was hand-poured in small batches using soy wax and a custom fragrance blend for a clean, even burn of approximately 110 hours of illumination.
100% of proceeds benefit .us ’s emergency water relief efforts in Puerto Rico, helping support access to clean drinking water for families across the island.
Fifty years in, it felt important to honor where we come from by showing up for it, too.
