In the latter part of the 19th Century, jewels in archeological revival styles were the most fashionable! Many of the jewelers of the period looked to the ancient Etruscans to craft inspired designs in gold. They  looked to the Etruscan technique of granulation and design motifs such as orbs, leaves, and amphorae to create beautiful pendant necklaces and earrings.
