The certified Portuguese filigree collection and master artisans have officially arrived in New York City for the first exhibition of this scale in the United States and we are looking forward to an incredible week ahead at Printemps New York.

From May 18–24, discover live artisan demonstrations and an exclusive exhibition of certified filigree pieces by Joalharia do Carmo, showcasing one of Europe’s most intricate and storied goldsmithing traditions.

This milestone presentation marks the first time authenticated Portuguese filigree — certified for origin, craftsmanship, and technique has traveled outside of Portugal. Handcrafted in 19.2k gold using centuries-old techniques, each piece reflects the artistry, heritage, and innovation behind one of Portugal’s most iconic jewelry traditions.

This May, we are honored to present the U.S. debut of Certified Portuguese Filigree at Printemps New York, a centuries-old jewelry tradition brought to life through the hands of master artisans.

For one exclusive week, experience the beauty of 19.2-karat gold transformed into impossibly delicate filigree, each piece entirely handcrafted, each one unique, each one carrying generations of Portuguese heritage. Witness live demonstrations as artisans shape gold into threads finer than a strand of hair, preserving a craft defined by patience, precision, and passion.

This exhibition also marks a meaningful milestone: the introduction of the first formal certification system for Portuguese Filigree, honoring authenticity, provenance, and craftsmanship at the highest level.
