London-based jeweler recently stopped by Mahnaz Collection for a special visit, where she shared a selection of her newest pieces and offered a deeper look into the stories behind her work. Reflecting on her Shared Faith Charm Necklace, she explained how a client’s request for a hamsa led her to explore its significance across multiple traditions. The piece evolved into a meditation on shared cultural and spiritual heritage, highlighting how these symbols “belong to all of us” and resonate across different beliefs.

During her visit, Alice also walked us through the inspiration behind earlier designs—more on that soon! Mahnaz Collection has long admired Alice Cicolini’s thoughtful, globally inspired creations, and we are proud to carry a curated selection of her work.

Since we mentioned silver jewelry in our previous post, it feels only fitting to follow up with a selection of exceptional designs that highlight the creative power of this metal. Unlike gold—often constrained by its intrinsic value and status—silver has long offered artists greater freedom to experiment, innovate, and push boundaries, perhaps now more than ever.

Swipe through to discover works by Tom Ford, Noma Copley, Vivianna Torun, Angela Cummings, Antonio Pineda, Art Smith, a Hopi overlay brooch, a striking thimble necklace, Bottega Veneta, Duane Maktima (Hopi), Lucie Gladhill, Cartier, Carmen Tapia, Elsa Peretti, and Monica Backstroke.

“So you want to be a collector? First, lay the foundation with the classic. This month: silver.” — Town & Country

Mahnaz Collection has long been an advocate for silver jewelry, and we are thrilled to be included in Town & Country’s Jewelry Wardrobe.

We’re honored to share that a piece from the Mahnaz Collection is featured in ’s April Design Issue, “Jewelry Wardrobe.” This extraordinary collar—crafted in 1964 by Theresia Hvorslev—brings together smoky quartz, rock crystal, and sterling silver in a bold, architectural composition that feels as modern today as it did then.

An exploration of form, light, and material—where jewelry becomes sculpture.

An 18k yellow gold “Cage” bracelet by Paloma Picasso for Tiffany & Co, c. 1980.

Joining Tiffany & Co. in 1980, Paloma Picasso’s work moved away from traditional, delicate styles toward “jewelry as armor,” characterized by architectural gold forms and an urban, high fashion edge. This “Cage” design is a strong example of that shift, focusing on generous scale and structural symmetry.

An 18k yellow and white gold bracelet by David Thomas, circa 1960. One of Mahnaz’s favorites, for his exquisite hand craftsmanship and the innovation and refinement of his jewels. Thomas was also included in the spinal International Exhibition of Modern Jewelry 1890-1961 in 1961, where several other future leaders of the transformation of British jewelry were featured, including Grima.

During the 1960s, David Thomas was a prominent figure in the British Modernist jewelry movement. His work from this period is also characterized by a departure from traditional, polished settings toward organic forms. This particular bracelet demonstrates his signature use of contrasting metal tones and hand-wrought textures, which were central to the “artist-jeweler” movement in London at the time.
