Today, Gesture of Holding is live with new mark and new website.

It started with a tree. A Paulownia, Odong Namu in Korean, growing in my London neighborhood, far from where it came from. After the flowers fell, what remained was the calyx. The part that held, long after the celebrated part had gone.

Finding it made me think about what it means to hold. To hold memories, to carry, to support, to reach. And about how I’ve moved between countries, carrying the shape of somewhere else, the way the tree did.

This is my first collection since returning from two years of study in London. I’m nervous and excited and so ready to share it. I hope you like them as much as I do.

A new collection, website, logo, and packaging are arriving together soon and I’m making room for what’s coming. The archive designs that held this studio together are on sale and If something has been calling to you, now is the moment.

The new collection i’m working on will be my first collection since returning from my studies in London, and I won‘t pretend I’m not a little nervous and extra excited. Two years of deepening, questioning, and learning how to listen more carefully to materials and to the world. It changed how I work.

As 2025 comes to a close, I’m sitting with a lot of gratitude.
It was an adventurous year,one that asked me to keep moving forward, to look back with care, and to learn how to stay present while things were still unfolding.

This year shaped not only how I make, but how I listen, notice, and stay in relation to materials, to time, and to the people I care about (you 🤍). There were moments of uncertainty, growth, and quiet clarity, all of which continue to inform the work.

As I step into 2026, I feel genuinely excited for what’s ahead. New forms, new questions, and new ways of expanding this practice. The joy of making feels very alive!
Thank you for being here, for your trust, your conversations, and for holding the work with such care.
