We are so proud and delighted by this bracelet we made for Christine. We have pages and pages of technical notes collected as we worked out every detail from the custom diamond links, to the chamfered sapphire crystal casing, to the assortment and color palette of the gemstones within.

The sapphire and ruby 'confetti' framed within includes sentimental stones from both sides of Christine's family, representing her loved ones. The bracelet links are set with her sentimental diamonds in bezel and pavé settings, adding additional sparkle around the wrist.

Christine, I know you're not on social media, but we love working with you and we were so honored to create this treasure.

When we were packing up these stunning jewels for sisters Cristin & Caitlin, I looked back at how their materials arrived (in plastic baggies, clearly labeled to distinguish between the dueling grandmothers). We are so lucky to make magic for a living .

We worked to carefully divide the jewelry of two matriarchs, Bertha and Barbara, who grew up across the street and despised one another their entire lives… for reasons they declined to share with their families.

In our designs, we strove to both honor these women as well as their desire to be separate, while adapting the materials to Cristin and Caitlin’s style.

For Cristin, we created two nestling rings to work with the graphic, colorful and textured looks she favors. One ring is sparkly, pavé set with diamonds from Granny, the second ring is set with a single emerald from Grandma (their shared birthstone) and hand brushed to create a contrasting matte finish.

For Caitlin, we created a modern, understated, and comfortable take on an antique knife's edge band. Each angle is accented with petite diamonds from one of her grandmothers, meeting at the point in the center. We also crafted a Appalachian quilt inspired pendant, honoring their West Virginian roots, in a style that is meaningful to Caitlin.

Inside each ring is an engraved "B".

Thank you so much Cristin and Caitlin, this project was so special!

This blew my mind!! I guess it makes sense! We make fine jewelry you can wear every day from the pieces you never wear. Family heirlooms, jewelry from past relationships, sweater snagging rings, etc. So happy to see and remember all of these projects and know they are being worn and enjoyed. It means everything!!!

Emma came to us to transform a ring that was made for her as an 18th birthday gift. It was set with an heirloom center stone and she wanted to redesign it to fit her tailored style so she can enjoy it in this chapter. She mentioned that the center stone had previously been set in a brooch and she had thought it was an aquamarine. I had the delightful job of informing her that it was actually a beautiful diamond. A fun surprise!

1. We flush set Emma’s diamond in a tapered rounded signet in yellow gold. Petite diamonds from the original setting flank either side of the center.
2. This style is so comfortable on the finger. The low profile and smooth settings won’t snag on clothing and the rounded shape is silky on the hand.
3. Emma’s diamond under the microscope! No aquamarine here! When we have a material surprise like this one, we can quickly pivot in the studio upon receiving the materials. In this case while the stone was a bit different than anticipated, the design was essentially unchanged.
4. Emma’s original ring.

Adding to our edition of engraved stud earrings has become an annual tradition at Spur. It’s one of our favorite treats each summer to plan and carve these designs. They reflect themes and ideas we’ve been brewing and are a creative source of expression and exploration. Each design is limited edition with a few designs retiring each year.
This year we’ve added THREE new designs including gem eyed serpents, sea sundials, and mini lucky shells. The studs are made to order in our NYC studio. Order this week for pre holiday delivery (before 12/7). Link in bio!

Petite extra diamonds from Desirae’s heirloom jewelry became the focal point of this gold forward wavy bangle.

We followed the organic shape of the wave with diamond accents to add sparkle with every movement. The diamonds are scattered and burnished across the surface of the gold. The bracelet is completed with a hand fabricated hinge with a petite safety clasp for security and ease.

I am so enamored with projects where are are able to make the little extras into a statement piece! Swipe to see the original pieces.

Thank you Desirae, this was a joy.
