There are stories time cannot erase. This is one of them.

Twenty-five years after September 11, I want to share the story of the Rosary that means the most to me.

In the aftermath of September 11, 2001, I came across an image of steel beams forming the shape of a Cross among the ruins of the Twin Towers. I saved that image without knowing that, years later, it would become the beginning of a Rosary.

A Rosary born not simply to remember a tragedy, but to offer something in the midst of that pain: prayer, comfort, and hope.

Over the years, I met people who had lived through that pain. I listened to their stories. Among them was Placido David Perez, a first responder at Ground Zero, whose friendship became deeply meaningful to me.

Today, 25 years later, I think of him, of all those who lost their lives, of their families, of the first responders, and of all those whose lives were forever changed that day.

Over the years, we have created many special Rosaries, but the 9/11 Rosary is and will always remain the one that means the most to me.

Today, we remember.
We pray.
And we choose hope.
