Worn by downtown artists, musicians and club kids for amost half a decade, Alex Streeter jewelry was founded in Soho in 1971. Since then Alex has created a body of work that totals almost 2,000 designs and encapsulates a highly unique artistic vision. Working in the lost art of lost-wax carving, each piece is hand-crafted before being cast right here in New York City. His work has been worn by act

ors and musicians such as Madonna, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Joni Mitchell, Aaliyah, Steven Tyler, Axl Rose, Jimmy Page, Hyde and many more around the globe. Throughout the years it has been featured in Vogue, Elle, the NY Times, NY Mag, Guitar Aficionado and many other publications. Alex Streeter began carving jewelry from pieces of Redwood bark and selling them on the Haight Ashbury in the late 1960's. He currently lives in Tucson Arizona where you can visit his museum. His showroom and headquarters in New York City are now on the historic Lower East Side. He continues to travel the world and interpret it and his imagination in his jewelry.

The Lost City series is an echo from Alex’s past, inspired by his travels as a young man through the ancient Mayan ruins of the YucatΓ‘n peninsula.

Each carving depicts the angular rooftops and pyramids of a lost civilization created in the fantasy of the young artist’s mind.
