My passion for the gem and mining industry began in 2000 when I visited a gem mine in Ratnapura, operated by a relative. Captivated by the intricate processes and beauty of the gemstones, I aspired to learn the trade. However, my career delayed my plans. Years later, a friend from Dubai reignited my interest during another mine visit, encouraging me to pursue a gemology course. This education equipped me with the necessary expertise to engage in the industry.

Although I am creating a page now, my involvement started much earlier. Recently, I have been visiting mining sites and gem markets, building relationships with miners, cutters, brokers, and those dealing with rough and polished gems. Establishing contacts and trust is essential in this industry. Today, I am fully immersed in the gem and mining sector, merging my early fascination with professional expertise and a commitment to contributing to the field of gemology.
