Mary Jo Pane is a self taught jewelry designer known for spiritually inspired collection Miracle Icons by Mary Jo Pane. Each one of a kind piece combines vintage and antique religious medals, semi precious stones, oxidized sterling silver chain and authentic Tibetan prayer beads. Miracle Icons was conceived after 9/11 and the illness of a friend and her own belief in saints and angels. While refl
ecting on both events Pane, came up with the idea of taking the medals she wore as a child and turning them into cool jewelry people would want to wear. She then began the process of teaching herself to make jewelry, having had a career in both wholesale and retail fashion prior to that.
