I am almost done all my prerequisites for medical school! I am so proud! I have one more final exam today for Organic Chemistry II. This was a super accelerated course where we did 4 credits in 5 weeks. I wrote 10 lab reports, did hours every day of homework, quizzes, discussion boards and more! Here are some screenshots of recent discussion posts and a lab. We move in a few weeks to Orlando and I start medical school in August!

Big announcement! After 2 and a half years of taking all the science prerequisites and writing the MCAT twice, I am completely over the moon and excited to begin medical school in August, in Orlando Florida! I received a few offers and interviews but I chose OCOM in Florida because we will be the inaugural class. It's a gorgeous new medical school that is family-friendly (they have a nursing room in their brand new building), into diversity (a Muslim prayer room, unisex bathroom for trans, etc). During my interview, they were nicest, most relaxed people, and loved my ideas about starting an LGBTQ group at the school to make sure our class is educated in trans health issues. I know Florida has a lot of issues in terms of prejudiced laws but I am going to be part of a very diversity friendly community, in the most diverse part of Florida (15 minutes from disney) and I will be part of the counter culture.
