in honor of oh snap’s mini rebrand (see previous post) we thought we’d recap what this product is, and how it started🗓️

so basically, i (gabby - the inventor👋) like anyone lost earrings all my life - i would take them off and misplace them, or the earring backs would fall off and along went my earring💨

on top of this, i always thought regular earring backs were uncomfortable - and thought there had to be a solution to keep pairs together, and a more comfortable way to wear earrings💎💎

one random night🌙 i glanced over at my earrings on my nightstand that must’ve rolled away from each other. i did not want to have another morning where my earrings mysteriously disappeared and i find them months later under my bed 🛏️ or in the vacuum cleaner🥲

that’s when i thought of oh snap: the concept would be earring backs that connect🖇️, but were also comfortable. they would have to have a connecting component (the magnet 🧲) and a comfortable component (the silicone☁️). the cube shape was for extra stability🧊🧊and the colors were just a fun touch🎨 (but later on we realized, they made earrings easy to spot! and it’s SUPER fun for branding hehe💃)

after sharing this idea with friends and family, i felt motivated to bring it to life⚡️

after a lot of trial and error, it’s still unreal to me that it’s a tangible product, and i’m over the moon to be able to share stories and express my creativity online through what was once an idea turned into reality❤️‍🔥
