How is it made? We support local artisans in Colombia with the purchase of raw materials. Palm leaf or Iraca is a Palm that grows in the region of Nariño. The plant leaves are picked and leaf is hung out to dry. Afterwards the artisan boil them with natural dyes in these pots for the color to set.

The look of Raw- These are the palm leaves that are set to dry before they can be dyed and hand woven.

Our leaf 🍃 hoops now available O•N•L•I•N•E

As I walk outside of my tent, I can still see the fog rising from the lake. Guatape smells like wet wood and coffee. The leaves around me, still dripping from the excess moisture built up at night. I play with a branch and wrap it up in my wrist, as I imagine these golden hoops that now adorn my face.

I dream of a world in which we could walk into a forest so lush that we could simply pick and choose what we wanted to be adorned with. And after we feel the warmth and grace of nature protect us, we simply put it back where it was.
