Among thousands of supposed rarities, this one’s the real deal.

In 1943, the U.S. Mint struck cents in steel to conserve copper for World War II—but a few leftover bronze planchets were mistakenly struck. Held by a Houston family for over 60 years, this bronze 1943 Lincoln Cent is one of just 20 known.
