For most of my life, I thought aging was something that happened to you.
You got older.
Your body slowed down.
Things got harder.
And while some of that is true, I’ve started to see aging differently.
After taking collagen for the last 4 + years, not only did I see the physical effects, relief from joint pain, but also a different mindset.
It started with the realization that I didn’t have to age like the women before me. That my aging process is still being shaped by the choices I make every day.
That doesn’t mean I can control everything.
But it does mean I have more influence than I once believed.
Every walk.
Every workout.
Every healthy choice.
Every time I choose movement over staying stuck.
Those choices may seem small in the moment.
But they are quietly shaping the woman I’m becoming.
And I think that’s one of the most hopeful lessons I’ve learned in this season of life.
We aren’t finished becoming.
Not at 50.
Not at 60.
Not at 70.
What belief about aging have you had to rethink?
