Some upcoming spooky watercolor workshops!
*** Please call the studio directly to register and secure your spot as seating is very limited. :D
Sam is heading back to the studio for two in-person watercolor workshops on October 31st and November 1st! We'll be exploring illustrative watercolor techniques, playing with pigments, and getting into all the little details that bring a painting to life.
Saturday, October 31 — Count Catula (11:00 am - 1:30 pm)
A little character design meets watercolor! We'll paint a wonderfully spooky, anthropomorphic vampire cat together, exploring layering, texture, color, and all those tiny details that give a character personality. We'll also talk about ways to customize your Count Catula and make him your own.
Sunday, November 1 — Spooky Botanicals (1:00 pm - 3:30pm)
A little macabre, a little botanical. We'll combine skulls, florals, and other natural elements into an evocative watercolor composition. We'll experiment with some unusual pigments and layered watercolor techniques to create something beautifully eerie. Expect plenty of techniques to practice and new ideas to take home!
Experience Level: Determined Beginner to Intermediate
These workshops are designed for determined beginners to intermediate watercolorists. Your finished painting will naturally vary depending on your experience, materials, and personal style, and that's part of the fun! We'll explore heaps of watercolor techniques along the way, and you'll leave with new skills, plenty of inspiration, and the confidence to dive further into your own watercolor practice.
$48 + tax per workshop
All materials included, along with a few spooky snacks!
