Unique find of the week! 🐆

This Edwardian sterling silver commemorative figure, known as “The Kemp Leopard,” was manufactured in London in 1902 by the renowned silversmiths Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd. These limited edition silver leopards were commissioned by the Skinners Company to commemorate the coronation of King Edward VII.

The leopard holds special significance as part of the guild’s historic crest, earning the name “The Kemp Leopard” after Roger Kemp, who served as Master of the Guild in 1680. A fascinating piece of British silver history with incredible detail and craftsmanship that has survived for well over a century.
