The Flying Turtle: Locally Made Creations I create jewelry, bubblewands, hanging vases, crochet hats, pen and ink illustrations and paintings, & sell local artist's work & antique magical treasures!

I make hand made creations of all kinds.. I invented a bubble wand that blows bubbles inside bubbles made out of copper wire, drift wood, glass beads, a marble and a brass bell.I also make hanging vases made from recycled light bulbs and copper wire, marbles, antique bottles and rainbow making crystals so you can have rainbows and flowers together in one vase that you can hang indoor or out. and

lots more in a very tiny store flowing out. I am a wire bending smith of jewelry using pliers, hammers and semi precious gem beads and coastal and glass beads inspired by the shimmer of water like the ocean and dew drops. I am a pen and ink illustrator of fantasy art that usually includes shimmering light like dew drop fairies and dragons and flying mermaidens and redwood forests at the edge of the coast with dew laden ferns and more. I also spin wool and crochet shimmering hats made of many fuzzy natural fibers like mohair and angora and wool fibers creating misty shimmering ocean inspired hats. I am really a mad scientist playing with art and people with bubbles and puppets at times also. I've made a few puppets and am working on some new ideas for puppets.

Since the pandemic started I've been mostly petsiting and dogwalking and working as a fine wire work jeweler. I'm going to start creating things for sale again. I feel like the past few years has been a huge bunch of work having had to move out of home several times and moved out of my shop and adjusting to all the changes. Now I feel I'm ready to regain my creative self and start making things!😊 Stay tuned, more posts to come soon! I recently gave my play castle to an awesome sculpter. I figured he could do something cool with it. What an awesome easy to give it away, he drove up in his sculpted wagon! It was fun! Lots of fun times with kids of all ages were had in that play castle! Thanks for all the fun everyone! Still trying to figure out how to navigate this pandemic. I still have my shop. I'm going to start making things again to sell but waiting for things to get safer with the pandemic... Might just send things to people...

Hi everyone!!!! Hope you are all well! I miss everyone! I just got my first shot of The Pfizer vaccine! I'm still hanging on to my shop. This photo is of the new tiny home I'm living in. I've had to move my living place a lot during this pandemic! Still adjusting to all the moves! Wow...
Also I've been hiding out trying not to get sick as a probably at risk for complications person if I did... So I'm still figuring out what to do.
I'm having some sickening and painful sideffects from vaccine but not too too bad. Mostly migraines and all that brings with it, which isn't fun... Today's my second day after the first shot. Today I was able to stop the migraine or vaccine headache etc... from reaching its full blown awfulness, Yay, so today kinda wiped out but doing better...

Flowers can lift moods and you can bring this vase with you to hang where ever you like & it'll add more beauty & enchantment!

I used a clear bottle with a slight aqua light green glow to it and wrapped it in heavy copper wire. The bottle has the image of a tree molded into the glass.

I made spirals of copper wire to hang it from. It's all Spirals! I used an iridescent clear marble and a flat shiny green marble with a shiny cut crystal bead that makes rainbows! Above the large flat marble I used a frosty green faceted crystal and one hand blown small turquoise translucent bead above that.

Hang it indoors or out from a string and it will spin with your favorite flowers going round and get flashes of rainbow sparkles from the crystal bead... Designed to add a little awe to your life with hanging water, flowers and rainbows! A great addition to any home or garden space.
