The ART of handmade.
These hands have been making a living from a heart-led life for over 35 years.
There’s been so much talk about makers these last few years, and I love it. The more our world turns to AI, the more sacred handmade feels. I love AI, too—but I love handmade more.
I see so much goodness come from my jewelry, and I believe it begins with the heart energy that goes into crafting each piece. Good intentions mixed with making and creating from love. Something you can feel when you wear it. The essence of love, made tangible into charms and talismans is magically healing.
To the OG makers out there, I imagine you’ll recognize these ingredients—the things that keep us at our workbenches, creating year after year:
Perseverance.
Grit.
Passion.
A desire to create beauty.
Imagination and creativity.
An absolute love for figuring things out.
And a life led by the heart.
You have to love the figuring-it-out part. I do. It makes me feel alive. Feeds my curiosity. There’s a vibrancy in it, a fluidity of energy that is channeled from a higher source. My hands follow, and something begins to take shape in form of adornment. The alchemy ~ feels so good.
There’s a little of those 35 years in everything I make. And even now, I sit down at this bench with something new to discover, something new to learn ~ I feel like a beginner as every breath is an invitation to start new~ to paint, to carve, to make… it’s all so much fun ~ life sure is a gift isn’t it? I am creating jewelry this weekend and I’m in a blissful state. ✨ I intend to use my gifts to spread love, joy, strength and to inspire others to believe in themselves. Cheers! xo. Jes ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨♥️drop me a note if you want me to paint something special this weekend while I shoot the catalog or carve a new charm or write a quote that will radiate the sun on all. ✌🏽
