Omaha, I’m exhausted.

Y’all wore me out with your support, energy, and enthusiasm for hand made art.

I’ll post again tomorrow when I’ve recovered a bit, but THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by, purchased art, visited, or helped our friends in need at the Omaha Art Fair.

This lonely little Chainmaille hackey was the last one I had left this afternoon, and it found a home about five minutes after this photo was taken! I’ve got a lot of work to do, but I’m forever grateful for your support.

Between now and June 12, we'll be sharing OAF Pro Tips to help you make the most of your Art Fair experience.

🎨 Pro Tip #1: If you love it, buy it.

We hear it every year:

"I'm going to walk the whole fair first, then come back."

Sounds like a great plan... until that perfect piece finds a new home before you make it back.

That painting you've already pictured above your favorite chair. The earrings that were clearly made for your favorite outfit. The mug that somehow feels perfect in your hand.

If it speaks to you, don't wait too long. Original art is one-of-a-kind, and someone else might be falling in love with it, too.

Many artists are happy to hold purchased pieces while you continue exploring, so you can shop with confidence and keep enjoying the fair.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I’m not able to go to Columbia MO for Art in the Park June 6-7. My next show will be the Omaha Art Fair June 12-14…looking forward to all the fun there!

What a great article about my uber talented neighbors (and friends 🩷) at the Hot Shops! Greg and Mell create the most fun carvings, and I have several of their pieces.

Mell Smith and Greg Macdonald have turned their creative passion into their living. But that doesn’t mean it’s fun 24/7.

I had several people mention that hackey sacking was making a comeback last week at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden show! AND…I actually had a guy playing with one of my Chainmaille hackey sacks that Saturday morning. No wonder I almost sold out! 🤣
