Two diamond engagement rings I made recently 💍
Both feature marquise lab grown diamonds. The ring in the top photo was a fully custom piece for a client: a 1.01 ct set in rich 18K yellow gold with a low profile and white gold prongs. The bottom ring was a design I created and sold online: a 0.50 ct set in 10K white gold with a slimmer, everyday band. Being trusted with something this important means a lot to me, especially as a small business!
Why lab?
Lab diamonds have the same physical and visual properties as natural diamonds, and even experienced jewelers cannot tell the difference without a grading report or inscription. The diamonds shown here are certified, so you know exactly what you are getting in terms of cut, clarity, and color. They have become a popular choice for getting a larger, high-quality stone at a more accessible price, while also being conflict-free.
If you prefer a natural diamond, I can source those as well through the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme, so everything is responsibly chosen.
Why marquise?
I love marquise cuts because they have a strong, elegant look and tend to appear larger for their carat weight while elongating the finger. It is a shape that stands out without being overdone.
What metal?
Gold choice comes down to lifestyle. 18K has a richer tone with higher gold content, while 10K is more durable and better suited for everyday wear if you are harder on your jewelry. Both are solid options when made well.
This is the kind of work I am proud of. Custom engagement rings, made with care, and built to be worn every day ✨
