When I look in the mirror, I see you.

In my smile.
In the way I laugh.
In the things I love.
In the person I’ve become.

Losing my dad taught me that someone can be gone and somehow still be everywhere.

Ounce of Soul was born from wanting something tangible to hold onto a reminder that the people we love don’t just become part of our past.

They become part of us. 🤎

“Relax. Nothing’s under control.”

Maybe peace isn’t found in holding on tighter, but in learning to let go. 🤍

There’s something so special about coming back to the place you grew up and finding little pieces of magic you never knew were there. 🌸

We spent the evening at this beautiful flower farm in Layton, picking our own bouquets, laughing, and taking new family pictures.

Family pictures feel different now. There’s always someone missing. I’m grateful we keep taking them anyway. Grief changes the picture, but it doesn’t stop life from growing around the empty space.

A bittersweet, beautiful night surrounded by flowers and the people I love. 🤍

Family pictures used to just be family pictures.

The last time we took them like this, my dad was still here. Tonight, I stood in front of the camera with a family that looks different now, and realized how much I’ve changed too.

Grief changes everything. The people in the pictures, the way you feel taking them, and the person you see when you look back.

Tonight felt different. Bittersweet. I’m grateful for who is still here, while always noticing who is missing. 🤍

“Girls will wake up one day and change everything about themselves.”

Sometimes you don’t choose the thing that changes you.

I think I’ve always been an entrepreneur, I just didn’t know that’s what it was called. 😂

In 5th grade, I made and sold belts. In 7th grade, it was hair clips. I even dressed up as a clown and made balloon animals at kids’ birthday parties. 🎈

I’ve always loved creating something from nothing.

Eventually that little entrepreneurial spirit turned into a career in merchandising and e-commerce… and then into Ounce of Soul. 🤍

Turns out, I’ve been building businesses my whole life. This one just means the most. ✨
