Three fittings. One day. One fabric collection.
Apparently my clients and I are all on the same wavelength lately.
These three jackets all came from the Tom James Tropica collection, and I happened to fit all three of them in the same day.
What I love about this cloth is that it gives you the look of a beautiful wool sport coat without feeling overly traditional or formal. It’s 99% Super 120s wool with 1% Lycra, so you get the polish and drape of fine wool with just enough stretch to make it comfortable for real life.
And the colors are SO good.
Same collection, three completely different personalities, and all easy to wear with denim, trousers, or a more casual shirt underneath.
This is exactly where I think menswear is headed. Clothing that still looks sharp, but doesn’t require a suit-and-tie occasion to justify wearing it.
