there has never been a lack of inspiration for Molly. Being surrounded by the Cape's natural beauty and nautical world has heavily influenced her designs. Molly began her journey in metalsmithing in her early high school years where her passion for the craft started to blossom. At a young age she earned various awards for her designs and went on to take more metals classes after she graduated. How

ever it wasn't until 2012 when she honed in on her skills and designs after receiving a diploma from The Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco, CA. Upon completing her program she returned to Cape Cod and launched her namesake company, Molly Avellar Jewelry. Every piece of Molly Avellar Jewelry is handcrafted by Molly herself. Molly prides herself in her unique designs and style. She is always trying to evolve as a designer and push herself. Aside from creating her beautifully unique lines of jewelry, Molly also focuses on one of a kind pieces. Whether it be a piece using a one of a kind stone she has found or a piece designed just for the customer. These one of a kind pieces are some of her favorites to create. When she isn't in her studio creating Molly often can be found walking the shores with her dog Nala. In the spring of 2015 Molly teamed up with her mother Jenny to open Adorn, located in East Orleans, MA. Their shop featured handcrafted jewelry, including Molly's, art, gifts and unique goods for home and lifestyle. This one is a one-of-a-kind and it shows. Multi-color tourmaline has this wild range — greens, pinks, near-watermelon tones all living in the same stone. Set in sterling silver. There will never be another one exactly like it.

A Costa Rican shell 🐚 Collected, carried home, and set in 14k gold with a diamond accent. This one was so fun to work on because it was being made as a birthday gift. There's something really special about turning a found object into something someone will wear forever.

Lapis lazuli is one of those stones that just commands a room. Deep, inky blue with flecks of gold pyrite running through it — I can never get enough of it. These Grand Lapis Dangles are bold without being heavy, and that blue feels especially right for summer.

Two very different pieces that somehow feel made for each other on the bench. The memento mori skull — a piece I love for its history and its cheekiness — next to a pair of sunburst studs set with rhodolite garnets, which have this warm, almost glowing raspberry color in the right light. Both 14k gold. Both the kind of thing you'd want to pass down. 💀🌟

The tiniest little minnows, Hand-carved and cast in solid 14k gold, about 1/4" long — the kind of stud people notice and then lean in to look at. 🐟✨ These little guys are one of my favorites to make.

This one has been on my heart. Em came to me wanting to honor her dog in a way that was truly one of a kind — and what we made together still takes my breath away.

At the center is a crystal clear portrait-cut quartz. When you look through the stone, you can see a laser-engraved portrait of her dear pup. Sealed inside with him: bits of his ashes and fur, and sand and seaweed from his favorite spot.

The band is created using the ancient mitsuro hikime wax technique— the organic nature of the wax reminds me of the flow of seaweed moving through water. Set in 14k gold.

June on Cape Cod means low tide, tidal flats, and finding treasures in the sand — and that's exactly where this piece came from. The Tidal Scallop Necklace was hand carved in wax and cast in 14k gold using the lost wax process. This one feels like summer to me. 🐚✨

Sunburst studs in 14k gold with Australian sapphires — that deep teal-blue that shifts depending on the light. My sunburst texture radiates outward from the stones and catches the light. Perfect everyday earrings. The kind that go with everything and still feel like something ✨

The band on this one curves up and wraps around the stone the way a wave curls just before it breaks — that's where the name comes from. Delicate but it has presence. Works as a statement ring, a stacker, or even an engagement ring.

An Australian opal and a little pink sapphire moon, hanging together on a 14k gold chain 🌙 I love a charm necklace you can keep adding to.
