Friends, the time to close the doors to ALPAT Thrift is nearing. Beginning Wednesday 1/17 all merchandise will be marked down by 40%. All offers for bulk purchases will be considered. The last 3 years have been an honor to serve the Oviedo community and while this location is no longer viable for us, keep following us. We are hopeful that a new opportunity may arise and allow us to come back bigger and better than before. We have spent the last year looking for a new location to no avail, but that doesn’t mean one won’t pop up so we shall continue looking. We sorely will miss each of you, but this is not goodbye, it’s until we meet again!

It is with great sadness to report that we have decided to close our doors permanently. Our going out of business sale will start Monday 8/28/23 and everything will be 25% off. We have a warehouse full of products and expect to stay fully stocked throughout the end of our lease.

Words can’t express the gratitude I have for everyone that has supported the store these last 3 years. I do wish I was able to do more for the community, but hope we were at least able to touch a few lives.

Two years ago I met Connie in this store, she was one of my best customers and loved treasure hunting. She was going through a rough time losing her husband of 25 years 1 year earlier and soon after that, losing her mother. All I can remember is how much she loved the store and what I was trying to accomplish here. During that time not only was I struggling to find someone to run the store, I was also battling just keeping the doors open. We started dating soon after that, became business partners and now I will soon have the pleasure of calling her my wife.
