MONICA’S FISHEYE AGATE RING | Commissioned Design

Some pieces change direction for exactly the right reason.

I had already made the setting for this stone in oxidized sterling silver and was preparing to turn it into a pendant when Monica came into the boutique for a pair of earrings. During our conversation, she noticed a tray of stones I had set aside for upcoming designs.

The moment I showed her this fisheye agate, she knew she wanted it. But not as a pendant. As a ring.

And in that moment, I knew it needed to be gold. Not silver. Not black. Gold.

Set in warm brass, the stone took on a completely different richness. Bold, grounded, and full of character, this piece became exactly what it was meant to be.

This is what I love about personalized design. Sometimes it begins with a sketch. Sometimes with a conversation. And sometimes with a stone that refuses to become anything else.

THE MARIPOSA RING | A Study in Form and Origin

Some stones carry a remarkable history long before they become part of a design.
Mariposite takes its name from California’s Mariposa County, a region woven into the geological history of the Sierra Nevada and California’s gold country.

Its deep green surface is interrupted by pale mineral formations, creating an organic composition that could never be precisely repeated.

For Mariposa, I wanted to bring that natural character into conversation with something more structured.

An elongated marquise silhouette. A warm brass setting. Four strands brought together into a single, substantial band.

The result is a ring that feels grounded, sculptural, and entirely its own.

There is something extraordinary about a stone that needs very little introduction.
Verdant’s deep blue-green color has a richness that changes with the light. Framed in darkened silver, her elongated silhouette feels both organic and architectural.

The scalloped setting follows the stone’s natural shape. The open split band gives her a presence that feels substantial without being overwhelming.

She’s part of a growing direction at Lepa Jewelry, where distinctive stones become individual sculptural designs.

Every element of a design has a purpose. Including the stone.

For the Sultry Drop Necklace, I chose cubic zirconia for its clarity, brilliance, and the way it works within the simplicity of the design.

A single stone. A diamond-shaped setting. A long, delicate line that draws the eye without overwhelming the neckline.

There is something beautiful about knowing exactly what a design needs and allowing it to be enough.

I believe the value of jewelry begins with the intention behind it. The relationship between proportion, form, and the woman who wears it.

Some women layer jewelry the way they layer meaning.

Intentionally. Deliberately. With a clear point of view.

The Sultry Drop pairs beautifully with the Golden Strata Necklace and the Linear Luxe: Day Edition for a composition that is all proportion, texture, and form. Keep the metals consistent for something cohesive and refined. Mix them and let the contrast do the talking.

THE VESPER RING | Wearable Structure

Some stones stay with you for years before finding their form.

I selected this seraphinite from a lapidary artist I met along my journey. Its deep forest-green color and silvery, featherlike formations stayed with me, waiting for the right design.

Vesper is that design.

A bold triangular stone framed in warm brass, balanced by an architectural three-strand band. Strong in form. Singular in character.

The seraphinite originates from Siberia, where nature creates patterns that cannot be replicated. And this particular stone will never become another Vesper.

One of a kind.

Vesper is also part of something taking shape at Lepa Jewelry. Over the years, I've collected distinctive stones from different places and artists. Some are becoming finished designs like this one. Others are being selected by clients for personalized commissions.

Each stone has a history. Each design gives it a new expression.

You are almost ready. The outfit is right. The energy is there. And then you reach for one thing, put it on, and something shifts.

Posture. Presence. Certainty.

The Sultry Drop Necklace was designed for exactly that moment.

A 24-inch gold-filled rolo chain. A single round CZ, set in a diamond-shaped four-prong setting, selected for its clarity and brilliance. Nothing excessive. Nothing unnecessary.

Just the right line, falling in exactly the right place.

I designed this piece for the woman who already knows who she is. She just wants what she wears to say it first.

Sometimes finding the perfect gift requires a little faith. ❤️

David was visiting Paducah when he came into Lepa Jewelry looking for something locally designed to take home to his wife.

We looked together, and he chose the 14k gold Lepa Wave Ring.

There was just one small detail.

He had absolutely no idea if it would fit her. 😂

He decided to take the chance.

Later, David sent me this photo. The ring fit, she loved it, and I couldn't have been happier to see it exactly where it belonged.

Then, a few days later, he left this review:
