Teaching for 8-23-2018 yom chamishi day 5 [thursday] Annual Portion #156 Genesis 14:18-15:8 b''h
Today's Portion is the initial mention of the exercise of "Faith." The Apostle Paul makes a reference in his Letter to the Romans in his teaching regarding Faith.
The modern Western concept emphasizes the exercise of faith as an acknowledgement or allegiance to an object. It is used akin to the thought of 'will-power'. It requires effort.
The un-spiritual man believes that it is a spiritual concept. That, it involves no intellectual property, only intuition. That is wrong.
IN the Hebrew word " 'Amen " the meaning of to-believe means to affirm with respect to following. Faith is more about commitment than it is about obedience --
blind- or otherwise. To abide in the commitment is what Christ JESUS expounded to His disciples. "Until the end," He said (Matthew 24).
This is the same Commitment JESUS admoshed Moses: to-love "The LORD your GOD from all your mind [intellect] by your personal decision, from all your life (beginning to end), from all of your strength (the accumulated resources of knowledge from the Holy); and JESUS expounded to His disciples, "do it wholeheartedly, undivided wholeheartedness, and nothing but wholehearted-wholeheartedness." That is how Luke 10,27 interprets it, for JESUS, from Deuteronomy 6.
It is this style Faith that Abraham expresses to the LORD when He reveals to him that he will bring the Messiah into the world.

TEXT: 18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine; and he was priest of The Mighty One, the Most High.
19 And he did kneel and was speaking:
'Blessed be Abram of The Almighty Most High, Maker of heaven and earth;
20 and blessed be The Mighty One, the Most High, who hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand.'
And he gave him a tenth of all.
21 And the king of S***m said unto Abram:
'Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.'
22 And Abram was speaking to the king of S***m:
'I have lifted up my hand unto THE ETERNAL ONE, The Almighty Most High, Maker of heaven and earth,
23 that I will not take a thread nor a shoe-latchet nor aught that is thine, lest thou shouldest say:
I have made Abram rich;
24 save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre, let them take their portion.' {S}

Chapter 15

1 After these things the cause of THE ETERNAL ONE came unto Abram in a vision,
For He was speaking:
'Fear not, Abram, I am thy shield, thy reward* shall be exceeding great.'
2 And Abram was speaking:
'O Sovereign, THE ETERNAL ONE, what wilt Thou give for me, and I myself am walking heirless, and he that shall be possessor of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?'
3 And Abram was speaking:
'Behold, to me Thou hast given no seed, and, lo, one born in my house is to be mine heir.'
4 And, behold, the cause of THE ETERNAL ONE came unto him,
for He was speaking:
'This man shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.'
5 And He brought* him forth abroad, and he was speaking:
'Look now toward heaven, and calculate the princes*, when thou be able to recount them';
and He was speaking unto him:
'So shall thy seed be.'
6 And he did affirm in THE ETERNAL ONE; and was regarding it to Him for righteousness.
7 And He said unto him:
'I am THE ETERNAL ONE that brought thee out* of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it.'
8 And he said:
'O Sovereign, ETERNAL ONE, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?'

*1. reward - Messiah, son of Abraham
Answers to temporal issues are not for hope. As long as there is a tomorrow no answer to any problem on earth will bring hope.
The eternal issue must always be the concern of the heart. All problems are temporal, therefore so are the answers. Problems are redirection from Eternity and the Answer who is Christ JESUS.

*5. The LORD moves Abraham into the future - to Eternity. And the answer to Eternity is Christ.

*5. "stars" are princes. The Prince is JESUS, the topic of the revelation to Abraham.

*7. Abraham leaves his native land and gods and meets the Priest of GOD called Melchizedek.

**PRAYER**: Father in Heaven on earth, Christ JESUS our resurrected Savior King, make me loyal to Your commitment by the word of Your Mouth. Make me loyal, wholehearted unbending loyal, and nothing but. Amen

Reading 148/The Long Teaching/Genesis 8
8-13-18 yom SHENI “Be fruitful, and multiply”
When JESUS said be fruitful and multiply it meant exactly that. Be productive and increase!

If we are going to love Him from all of our strength, as He Directed, you need strength. Your fruit is you strength. Serve Him by what you have accumulated. "Shine!" Matthew 5:16.

The Reading for today (8/13/18) is from Genesis 8: 1-17. Today is a Renewed Moon - the only Ordinance give by Him which commemorates His Resurrection. Christ even renewed and resurrected His Covenant as promised, in Himself. This is why all of His Commandments are relevant according to Matthew 28 in the Commission to His followers.

The Raven. Never more.

Noah sent out the raven as a scout. Being a carrion bird he would sustain himself on the carnage from the Flood. Once land was dry the mate would return to begin their new home.

The Dove.

The frail dove interested in sustenance which she had in the Ark and returned with evidence that it was time to begin a new home. A week later they left never to return. And Noah knew that it was safe to disembark.

The New Moon.

Noah and his family emerged on the New Moon. Today is a New Moon. The resurrection of man. It is no coincidence.

Noah came out on Month 2, under the Civil Calendar of Babylonia. Today is the beginning of Month 6 on the Renewed Exodus Calendar. This is the final month on the Civil Calendar.
SIGNIFICANCE
The 1st day of Month Seven begins the final 4 Feasts - of the 7 Divine Appointments. In these last four JESUS did and will address His coming to earth**; The Judgement; The Wedding Feast; The Consummation.
(**JESUS was born on the 1st day of the 7th Month.)

PRAYING: Father in Heaven, All-powerful, Creator and Re-newer, we give thanks for Your incomparable work on earth. Thank you for renewing me in JESUS. For His purpose. Amen.

Genesis Chapter 8
1 And The Almighty remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that were with him in the ark; and The Almighty made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged;
2 the fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained.
3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually; and after the end of a hundred and fifty days the waters decreased.
4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.
6 And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made.
7 And he sent forth a raven, and it went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.
8 And he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground.

16 'Go forth from the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee.

Noah was in his generations a man righteous and whole-hearted; Noah walked with God.

2 This is the Custom of the Teaching which THE ETERNAL ONE hath commanded, For Speaking: Speak unto the Sons of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer, faultless, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke.
3 And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, and she shall be brought forth without the camp, and she shall be slain before his face.
4 And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood toward the front of the tent of meeting seven times.
5 And the heifer shall be burnt in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall be burnt.
6 And the priest shall take cedar-wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.
7 Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he may come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the even.

11 He that toucheth the dead, even any man's dead body, shall be unclean seven days;
12 the same shall purify himself therewith on the third day and on the seventh day, and he shall be clean; and when he purify not himself the third day and the seventh day, he shall not be clean.
13 Whosoever toucheth the dead, even the body of any man that is dead, and purifieth not himself--
he hath defiled the tabernacle of THE ETERNAL ONE--
that soul shall be cut off from Israel; because the water of sprinkling was not dashed against him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him.
14 This is the Teaching: when a man dieth in a tent, every one that cometh into the tent, and every thing that is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.

7 And thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your priesthood in everything that pertaineth to the altar, and to that within the veil; and ye shall serve; I give you the priesthood as a service of gift; and the common man that draweth nigh shall be put to death.' {P}
8 And THE ETERNAL ONE arranged with Aaron:
'And I, behold, I have given thee the charge of My heave-offerings; even of all the hallowed things of the Sons of Israel unto thee have I given them for a consecrated portion, and to thy sons, as a due for ever.
9 This shall be thine of the most holy things, reserved from the fire: every offering of theirs, even every meal-offering of theirs, and every sin-offering of theirs, and every guilt-offering of theirs, which they may render unto Me, shall be most holy for thee and for thy sons.

12 All the best of the oil, and all the best of the wine, and of the corn, the first part of them which they give unto THE ETERNAL ONE, to thee have I given them.

14 Every thing devoted in Israel shall be thine.
15 Every thing that openeth the womb, of all flesh which they offer unto THE ETERNAL ONE, both of man and beast, shall be thine; howbeit the first-born of man shalt thou surely redeem, and the firstling of unclean beasts shalt thou redeem.
16 And their redemption-money--
from a month old shalt thou redeem them--
shall be, according to thy valuation, five shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary--
the same is twenty gerahs.
17 Only the firstling of an ox, or the firstling of a sheep, or the firstling of a goat, thou shalt not redeem; they are holy: thou shalt dash their blood against the altar, and shalt make their fat smoke for an offering made by fire, for a sweet savour unto THE ETERNAL ONE.
18 And the flesh of them shall be thine, as the wave-breast and as the right thigh, it shall be thine.
19 All the heave-offerings of the holy things, which the Sons of Israel offer unto THE ETERNAL ONE, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, as a due for ever; it is an everlasting covenant of salt before THE ETERNAL ONE unto thee and to thy seed with thee.'
20 And THE ETERNAL ONE arranged with Aaron:
'Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any portion among them; I am thy portion and thine inheritance among the Sons of Israel. {S}
