Angela Monaco Jewelry is bold and bewitching, rare and wearable; in Angela's hands, rugged geodes become lustrous emblems of beauty and strength. She crafts each piece to become an heirloom, a precious possession to pass down through generations - as immortal and timeless as the materials from which it is made. Filling their home with crystals, ritual practices, and Native American jewelry, Angela

’s mother instilled in her an enchantment with adornment from the start. She carried her interest in these magical totems into adulthood by pursuing the craft of jewelry making. Yet she remains mostly self-taught, she owes a lot of credit to the mentors and resources on Philadelphia’s historic Jewelers’ Row. In 2009 she launched her first jewelry brand, Concrete Polish Jewels, to continue exploring her relationship with metalsmithing. Angela’s lifestyle is informed by a deep connection to yoga, tarot, astrology, and the spiritual realm. Angela’s spiritual practices are reflected in her jewelry, where minerals and metal are married to create ornaments with the dual purpose of not only looking beautiful but empowering the wearer with the unique healing powers of the stone. Angela Monaco jewelry is individually handcrafted with environmentally-considered materials produced on Jewelers’ Row. "We both love jewelry, but for Steve especially, it carries a lot of emotional weight. One of his core memories from the last few years was watching his grandmother gift pieces of her jewelry to family members before she passed. That changed how we both think about adornment. Every piece feels like an investment now, not necessarily a financial one, but an investment in legacy, memory, and the people who come after us."

"For Steve's piece, it started with his existing style. White gold and black have always been his thing, so a black diamond felt like the natural centerpiece [...] We had a running joke throughout the process about 'dropping that f**king rock.' He wanted something unapologetically bold."

When Steve and Kyle came to us for custom jewelry for their two-year anniversary, something just clicked. The first of our Pride Month interviews, we are so excited to introduce our friend, energetic healer, and stylist, Andy! 🌈

is the owner of and is also a Reiki master and yoga instructor. Andy recently consulted a vedic astrologer for something that works for them energetically, allowing them to harness the energies he needed. He immediately came to AMJ, something he has done before for an energetically-aligned piece. 🔮

For Andy's ring, we sourced a Moyo garnet from a sustainable, ethical mine in Tanzania that empowers women artisanal miners.

"The spiritual properties of this gem are associated with a softer, heart- centered strength. Energetically, it’s considered a bridge between grounding and emotional openness. It can help release emotional exhaustion while encouraging vulnerability and emotional courage. It supports strong boundaries while maintaining a soft heart. Angela sourced this stone specifically, and created another gorgeous and functional piece for me."

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH! 🌈 What does it mean to wear your truth?

At Angela Monaco Jewelry, we celebrate what makes you YOU. Throughout this month, in celebration of Pride, we are sharing the stories of our friends and customers, honoring their love, their community, their joys, highlighting their businesses and work, and celebrating their milestones. Jewelry is for everybody, for all genders, and it's one of the many ways we can express ourselves. 🏳‍🌈

Our shop will always be an inclusive and inviting space. While Pride is only one month, we celebrate our LGBTQIA+ friends, employees, and customers every day of the year! 🌝 Sometimes the moon feels like a celestial older sister; watching over us, guiding us through the changes in our lives, listening to our intentions, confronting us with what isn't working, and helping us stay on path. The seeds that you planted during the last New Moon will grow to their fullest potential during this time. Full moon rituals include writing in gratitude journals, charging your crystals under the full moon, and cleansing and bath rituals. It is not the time for manifestation, rather a time to reflect.

This month's full moon will be the furthest away from Earth it has been, making it look 6-7% smaller in the sky. Called a micro-moon, it will also be a blue moon, being the second full moon for the month of May. Tomorrow morning will be the peak of its fullness!
