We are a non-profit group comprised of volunteers from Starr Elementary. Anyone associated with a Starr student is an automatic member...you decide how you want to participate. Happy Thursday, Starr Families!!

We are so thrilled to announce the final results of Tuesday's Starr Strut:

With your help, we were able to raise $22,595 for Starr! Our Glow Party is officially on for Monday and we are so excited to party with our Rock Starrs.

🥇1st Place: By a landslide, bringing in a combined total of $4,025(!!!!!!)--Liam and Kaylor White! Thank you White Family for all of your hard work and determination!!

🥈2nd Place: Bringing in a whopping $747--Haley and Cora Channells! These girls are always hustling for the Strut and we appreciate their hard work so much!

We can’t wait to treat every Starr student this afternoon to a Kona Ice treat!

Fundraising closes at NOON today so if you have any last minute donations, please send with your student or drop off in the main office before 12 to be counted.

Yesterday was such a blast. We can’t wait to share all of the final results and photos!!

***Update: we are at $19,403!!! Less than $600 to reaching our Glow Party with DJTJ at $20K keep it up Rock Starrs!!!!!

We are so excited it’s almost time for Starr Strut and the weather is looking warm and sunny!
We have raised $18,300!!! We still need $1700 to make our Glow Party goal and have until Wednesday May 27th at noon to bring in money.

Event Reminders:
1. Students need to wear their grade level t-shirts, if you have misplaced yours- have your student wear a shirt of a similar color.

2. Sneaker shoes preferred!

3. Please plan on leaving backpacks overnight if you plan on signing your student out after Strut. This makes it much easier for everyone involved! If your student normally brings cold lunch, maybe pack a paper bag lunch on Tuesday!

4. Parents and guardians are welcome to walk or watch on the home side bleachers.

5. We will have a fire truck from Gun Plain Township spraying the kids on a portion of the track so if they choose to get wet you may want to bring a towel.

6. Event begins at 2pm with 5th grade and then we will release 3rd/4th at 2:05, 1st/2nd at 2:10, and Y5/K at 2:15. Everyone will be out on the track from 2:15-2:50

7. Sign out begins at 2:50- students will make their way to line up on the football field with their teacher and get their popsicle. From there, parents of kids bringing their students home will make their way to their student's teacher(s) on the field to sign their student out with their teacher and receive a sticker. Once your student has been signed out and has received their sticker, they may exit through the concession stand entrance. If your student does not have a sticker, you will be asked by office staff to go back and get one. This is to ensure the safety of all of our students! All other students will head back to Starr with their teacher or staff member and will be dismissed like normal.

Happy Tuesday, Starr!

We hope you fared well after that nasty storm yesterday and we are grateful we made the right decision to postpone. We appreciate all of your patience!

We will continue to collect donations until noon on Wednesday, May 27th, which is the day after our new Strut Date of next Tuesday the 26th.

As a reminder of the prizes each student will earn for their donations:

UPDATE
🍧We are currently at $17054.60 which means KONA ICE will be coming to Starr next week and everyone will get a treat!!!🍧

🌟And our big all-school goal of $20,000 will have a big Glow Party with DJ TJ including a light show. 🌟

Thank you to everyone who has shared their links with their friends and family so far and for those who have dropped off even $5 in support of our school. Every single dollar, bag of coins, share on social media HELPS and we are so appreciative of your support.

Due to potential severe weather and strong winds tomorrow afternoon, we have decided to postpone the Starr Strut to Tuesday, May 26th at 2 pm. We will allow students until this Wednesday, May 20th, to earn the scoreboard prize with $100 donations, and we are less than $2K from reaching our Kona Ice Truck Prize for the whole school! Fundraising will continue through Wednesday, May 27th, at noon.

I went to take photos for our Score Board Prize Winners for raising $100 for Starr Strut yesterday.
