As we get ready to celebrate one of the most important days in American history, I couldn’t help but photograph these two pairs together.

Side by side, they represent so much of who we are as a nation. We wouldn’t be where we are today without the men and women who have sacrificed for our freedom. And if you’ve never looked into the meaning behind the colors of our flag, it’s worth taking a few minutes to do so. ❤️🤍💙

These hand-beaded boot earrings remind me of rainy days, garden mornings, muddy chores, fishin from shore, crabbin from the depths of the ocean and that well-loved pair by the door. You know, the same ones you wear to church and to fish in… 😉 Tiny Forget-me-Nots stitched onto classic boots. 💙
